Who Am I?

Recently I realized blogging wasn’t the same for me. I felt like I wasn’t present in my blog and that I had so much to offer. To me, my blog feels dark and full of pain, whereas my personality is a combination of that and a lot of outgoingness. So, I asked myself how did you show only one side of yourself? I realized I showed Y’all the hurt and pain but honestly, did I show you how I truly overcame those situations? No, I didn’t show or display myself in my blog. So, from here on out I will not only talk about things I’ve been through, but I will also talk about me and give you the outgoing side of me.

Who Am I?

My Name: Mariah

The mother that loves to help, encourage and support others. I’m an outgoing, talkative dreamer. The overcomer who is still finding her way. I AM MARIAH!

Favorite Color: I love blue, purple, pink, and green.

Favorite Car: Bubble Chevy ’96 (I would like it dressed in all black, with some silver red bottoms, and sky-blue stitching.)

Favorite Fun Thing to do: Bowl (you can be competitive and still get great laughs out of playing.

Hobbies: reading, journaling, listening to music, learning and doing makeup.

Favorite Author: Diamond Johnson

Favorite Designer: Steve Madden

Favorite Shoes: Nike Dunks

I love to sing out loud at any given time. R&B is my all-time favorite. I listen to rap, but the artist must be speaking about something. I don’t just listen to anything. I love Gospel music as well. However most of the time I listen to relaxing or study music, it helps me think.

Back in high school, I used to dress with nothing but colors. As I’ve gotten older I stop caring about my appearance. Now, I’m gaining the love for myself back, so my appearance is starting to mean a lot more to me. (stay tuned for that blog).

I haven’t had a perm since 2013, but still, don’t know what to do with my hair. This is hard for me, its natural but I don’t like my curl pattern.

What’s Next?

Here are some things I wanted my readers to know about me. I have more things to inform you of but this is just a starter. By me doing this it will help you get to know me better. Also, it helps me to show up more in my blog. I don’t want something that’s always sad. I want something that is a combination of both. Empowerment is the key, motivating other’s to be themselves even when they are different.

Let me know what some of the things are you like. What ways can I show up more? And what else you would like to read about?

  • I’m learning not to forget about me!

START FRIDAY AUGUST 17, 2018 I WILL BE RELEASING A NEW SERIES WHICH IS ASK ME. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOU WANT TO ASK ABOUT ANYTHING I WILL BE READING THEM AND WRITING ON MY BLOG WITH THE ANSWER. PLEASE DON’T BE AFRAID TO SUBMIT QUESTIONS I CAN AND WILL KEEP YOU ANONYMOUS IF YOU LIKE. SUBMIT QUESTION VIA EMAIL AT joy@dreamwithconfidence.com.

Thank You

  1. This is good. You’re ready to be open and honest about you. I think this is the best way to be especially when it comes to blogging. Being open about who you are is able to give the reader a better understanding of your posts. I’m looking forward to reading more from you!
